• Εξειδίκευση σε αντικαταστάσεις αρθρώσεων, αρθροσκοπική χειρουργική και αθλητικές κακώσεις. Ειδικότερα στην αντικατάσταση των αρθρώσεων του ισχίου, με σύγχρονες ελάχιστα επεμβατικές προσπέλασεις και ταχύτατη κινητοποίηση του ασθενούς. Στις αντικαταστάσεις των αρθρώσεων του γόνατος χρησιμοποιείται ρομποτική τεχνική και το αποτέλεσμα είναι συγκριτικά καλύτερο οποιασδήποτε άλλης αρθρώσεως.
• Εμπειρία στην αντιμετώπιση των καταγμάτων με όλες τις χειρουργικές και τις συντηρητικές τεχνικές.
• Εξειδικευμένες και πρωτοποριακές τεχνικές για παθήσεις χειρός και παραμορφώσεις άκρου ποδός.
• Ειδικές μη χειρουργικές πρωτοποριακές τεχνικές για την οσφυαλγία και την κήλη μεσοσπονδυλίου δίσκου. Οι τεχνικές αυτές είναι επίσημες ιατρικές πράξεις.

A full range of Conservative and Surgery treatment of the patients. Significant experience in local infusions to treat pain disorders of the spine.

Specialty in joint replacements, arthroscopic surgery and sports injuries. In particular, the replacement of hip joints, with the MEDACTA AMIS technique. This is the most modern minimally invasive accesses with rapid mobilization of the patient. In knee joints the MEDACTA MyKNEE replacement is used and we are the pioneers for Greece and Cyprus. The result is comparatively better towards any other joint.

Experience in the treating fractures with all surgical and conservative techniques. Specialized and innovative techniques for disorders of the hand/arm and foot deformities.

Special non-surgical pioneering techniques for Spinal disc herniation (lumbago) and intervertebral disc herniation. These techniques are official medical operations.

Scientific Work

PhD thesis: the action of cimetidine in neuromuscular Synapse and the interaction with other drugs. University of Athens, Professor D. Baronos, Chair of Pharmacology, Athens 1984.

Active participation in an experimental doctoral thesis of the surgeon M. Ketentzoglou entitled: “Study of auto transplantation of the splenic tissue”, Athens University, 1982.
 

Dr. Granitsas deals with elective orthopaedics, mainly with hip and knee and he is approved by MEDACTA, the leading company on joint replacement, using the anterior minimal invasive approach for the hip replacement and the custom made knee, which has robotic accuracy.  Both techniques are considered as state of art and give impressive results, he uses the premises of the Athens Medical Group hospitals and in Cyprus those of the American Medical Center (American Heart Institute) in Nicosia.

He also deals with forefoot arthoplasty, using dynamic correction techniques. In his private rooms, he treats the orthopaedic pain of spine and joints with local injections. Dr. Granitsas operates in Greece and Cyprus, so please don't rely on the timetable but ask for an appointment. Normally you will find Dr. Granitsas every second week in Cyprus, post op follow up is done mainly by the doctor.
