O Δρ Λάμπρος Αθάνατος, ειδικός Ορθοπαιδικός Χειρουργός, ο οποίος εξειδικεύεται στην Χειρουργική Άκρας χείρας, απέκτησε το Πιστοποιητικό Ολοκλήρωσης της Εκπαίδευσής του (CCT) στην Ορθοπαιδική & Τραυματολογία στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο. Από το 2023 εργάζεται στο Ιπποκράτειο Ιδιωτικό Νοσοκομείο.
Μετά την αποφοίτησή του από την Ιατρική Σχολή του Szeged (Ουγγαρία), εργάστηκε στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο της Λάρνακας, εκτελώντας την προκλινική του εκπαίδευση (Pre-Registration). Στη συνέχεια ολοκλήρωσε την εκπαίδευσή του στο Foundation Training στο Norwich (Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο) και ακολούθως το Core Surgical Training στο Mersey Deanery (Liverpool) όπου απέκτησε εμπειρία στην Παιδοορδοπαιδική στο Alder-Hey Children's Hospital (Liverpool), και στο Kent, Sussex & Surrey (KSS) Deanery, την Ορθοπαιδική & Τραυματολογία, Γενική Χειρουργική και Ουρολογία στο East Kent και Νευροχειρουργική στο Brighton.
Έχοντας εργαστεί στην Κοσμητεία της Οξφόρδης, στο Tunbridge Wells, στο Wexham Park και στα Νοσοκομεία του East Kent ως επιμελητής, πέτυχε και έγινε δεκτός στο πρόγραμμα Ανώτατης Χειρουργικής Εκπαίδευσης στο East Midlands South Deanery, συμπεριλαμβανομένων των Leicester University Hospitals και Queens Medical Trauma Centre (Nottingham), προτού λάβει το FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) το 2021.

Ο Δρ Αθάνατος είναι μέλος του Παγκύπριου Ιατρικού Συλλόγου (ΠΙΣ) και της Κυπριακής Εταιρείας Χειρουργικής Ορθοπαιδικής και Τραυματολογίας (ΚΕΧΟΤ), εταίρος (Fellow) του Αγγλικού Βασιλικού Κολλεγίου Χειρουργών και μέλος της Βρετανικής Εταιρείας Χειρουργών Άκρας Χείρας (BSSH). Διαθέτει διπλώματα στα Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) και Advanced Life Support (ALS).

Mr. Lambros Athanatos is a Consultant Orthopaedic & Microsurgeon who obtained his certificate of completion of training (CCT) in Trauma & Οrthopaedics in the UK.
After graduating from the University of Szeged Medical School (Hungary), he worked as a pre-registration house officer in Larnaca (Cyprus). He then completed his Foundation Training in Norwich (UK), followed by his Core Surgical Training in Mersey Deanery, where he gained experience in Paediatric Orthopaedics in Alder-Hey Children's Hospital (Liverpool), as well as Kent, Sussex and Surrey (KSS) deanery, gaining experience in Trauma & Orthopaedics, General Surgery, and Urology in East Kent and Neurosurgery in Brighton.
Having worked as a registrar in the Oxford Deanery, Tunbridge Wells, Wexham Park and East Kent Hospitals, he underwent his Higher Surgical Training in Trauma & Orthopaedics in the East Midlands South Deanery including Leicester University Hospitals and Queens Medical Trauma Centre (Nottingham) before obtaining his FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) in 2021.
He undertook his superspecialty training in Hand Surgery at Leicester and was chosen for the prestigious ‘TIG Fellowship in Hand Surgery’ in Newcastle for a year, where he gained advanced training in hand and wrist microsurgery at both the Royal Victoria and Freeman Hospitals.
During his training, Μr Athanatos was president of the Leicester Orthopaedic Trainee Association (LOTA), the East Midlands South deanery regional representative at the British Orthopaedic Trainee Association (BOTA), as well as the career champion for East Midland's trainees.
Mr Athanatos has published numerous scientific articles, presented at international congresses, and has taught on courses in the United Kingdom.
He has been faculty for international postgraduate courses including the Wrightington FRCS Hand & Wrist course, Wrightington FRCS Basic Science course and Basic Surgical Skills course (Royal College of Surgeons of England).
Μr Athanatos is a member of the Cyprus Medical Association and the Cyprus Association of Orthopaedic Surgery & Traumatology (CAOST), a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH). He attained a certificate in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) και Advanced Life Support (ALS).
