Ο Δρ. Ιωάννης Κρόνης είναι προσωπικός ιατρός ενηλίκων στο ΓΕΣΥ. Για το σκοπό αυτό διατηρεί ιατρείο στην κλινική MEDOCLINIC στη Λευκωσία.

Ο Δρ. Ιωάννης Κρόνης είναι ειδικός στη γενική ιατρική με 5ετή ειδίκευση στη Σουηδία. Εργάστηκε για αρκετά χρόνια σαν προσωπικός ιατρός στην Σουηδία, ενώ πρόσφατα μετακόμισε στην Κύπρο όπου άνοιξε και το ιατρείο του.

Ο Δρ. Κρόνης ασχολείται με πάσης φύσεως περιστατικά όπως καρδιολογικά, αναπνευστικά, γαστρεντερολογικά, ανοσολογικά, μυοσκελετικά, νευρολογικά, δερματολογικά, ενδοκρινολογικά, νεφρολογικά, ουρολογικά, γυναικολογικά, παιδιατρικά, ωτορινολαρυγγολογικά, οφθαλμολογικά, γηριατρικά, χειρουργικά (μικροεπεμβάσεις), λοιμώδη νοσήματα, ψυχικής υγείας, παρηγορητικής φροντίδας καθώς και επείγοντα περιστατικά.

Ακόμα, στα πλαίσια της πρωτοβάθμιας περίθαλψης ασχολείται με τη διαχείριση χρόνιων παθήσεων όπως της υπέρτασης, του σακχαρώδη διαβήτη, της υπερλιπιδαιμίας καθώς και του άσθματος/χρόνιας αποφρακτικής πνευμονοπάθειας. Τέλος, προσφέρει υπηρεσίες διακοπής του καπνίσματος και εμβολιασμούς ενηλίκων.

TEACHING AND TRAINING EXPERIENCE

Introduced the new electronic patients’ records system called TakeCare® at Älvdalen GP-surgery, Sweden. The system is a unified platform for both the primary healthcare sector and secondary healthcare sector. After being trained on the system myself for 5 days, I trained all the other staff members of the GP-surgery, to fully be able to use the system. Teaching sessions were divided in 3 separate groups who trained for 2 days each. I also continued to support the staff throughout the introduction of the system at the surgery.

AUDITS

“Treatment with bisphosphonates. Do we follow the clinical guidelines?”
A retrospective audit of 101 patients who received bisphosphonate treatment between 2000 and 2011. The results were presented both locally and regionally and suggestions were made to improve the adherence to guidelines.
