H Δρ. Βερυκίου αποφοίτησε από το Πανεπιστήμιο της Πάτρας το 2006 και στη συνέχεια μετακόμισε στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο για να ολοκληρώσει την μεταπτυχιακή της κατάρτιση. Έχει ολοκληρώσει την βασική ιατρική εκπαίδευση σε διακεκριμένα νοσοκομεία εκπαίδευσης όπως το Royal Marsden hospital και King’s College hospital στο Λονδίνο. Στη συνέχεια μετακόμισε στο Newcastle upon Tyne για να ασκήσει καριέρα ως δερματολόγος μετά από την απόκτηση ενός ανταγωνιστικού κλινικού ακαδημαϊκού προγράμματος στην δερματολογία. Έχει εξασφαλίσει με επιτυχία μια προσωπική υποτροφία από το ίδρυμα Ερευνών Καρκίνου (Cancer Research UK) του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου για να ολοκληρώσει το διδακτορικό δίπλωμα.



Μετά την ολοκλήρωση της δερματολογικής εκπαίδευσής της, ακολούθησε την εξειδίκευση της στην προχωρημένη δερματολογική και χειρουργική δερματο-ογκολογία (Mohs surgery) για την θεραπεία του καρκίνου του δερματος. H Δρ. Βερυκίου ενδιαφέρεται για τη διάγνωση και τη διαχείριση του καρκίνου του δέρματος και έχει επίσης ολοκληρώσει ένα Μεταπτυχιακό στη δερματοσκόπηση και την προληπτική δερματο-ογκολογία από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Graz στην Αυστρία. Έχει δημοσιεύσει πολλά άρθρα σε εθνικά και διεθνή περιοδικά και συμμετέχει σε αρκετά εθνικά και διεθνή συνέδρια.


H Δρ. Βερυκίου είναι μέλος της Βρετανικής Ένωσης δερματολόγων (British Association of Dermatologists) και μέλος της επιτροπής της Βρετανικής Οργάνωσης Δερματολογικής Χειρουργικής (British Society for Dermatological Surgery). Αυτή τη στιγμή είναι επιμελήτρια δερματολόγος και δερματοχειρουργός Mohs στο Royal Victoria Infirmary στο Newcastle upon Tyne, Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και θα μοιράζεται το χρόνο της μεταξύ του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου και της Κύπρου.
