Podiatry is the medical field dedicated to the study of the lower limb. We are here to reduce and manage pain, discuss concerns and improve quality of life.
The clinic is designed to deliver foot care in respect to our patients' needs and expectations.
Our priority is always the comfort and safety of our patients. We aim to deliver excellent customer experience while providing services of high standards.
Areti graduated from the University of Brighton in 2015 with a degree in Podiatry.
Her passion to work with children led her to complete a master's degree in Childhood Studies, from the University of Leeds, in 2016 and has received extended training in Podopaediatrics (covering foot pathologies affecting children), from the University of Staffordshire, in 2017.
During her 7 year-stay in the UK, Areti delivered her services in clinics in Brighton, London, Sheffield and Glasgow. She has managed complex and high-risk foot cases of patients with Diabetes, Rheumatoid arthritis, cancer as well as athletes with foot concerns. Areti has experience working with individuals with Autism, Down Syndrome and patients with other developmental syndromes/delays of all ages.
Over the years Areti has volunteered as a Podiatrist offering her services at London Marathon (2015), at the Special Olympics GB (2018) and as a first aider at the Nicosia Marathon run (2019).

Foot Medic Podiatry, (Oct, 2017 - Dec, 2018)Glasgow, UK
MSK based clinic, provided advanced podiatry care. Familiarised myself with Ultrasound scanning, used to measure plantar fascia thickness, identify possible neuromas in foot and tendon tears. Worked with athletes and children with limb length discrepancy, foot and knee pain, people with lower limb issues following hip/knee operations. Used Shockwave therapy mainly for plantar fasciopathy and achilles tendonitis. Used RS foot scan for static, dynamic and balance analysis and provided thorough gait analysis. Custom made insole prescriptions using Sidas (made in clinic), Firefly and Podfo insoles. Other responsibilities included nail surgery, diabetic foot check, neurovascular examinations, SWIFT therapy for verrucae, fungal nail treatment, dermatological care.

Private clinic, provided routine foot care, MSK assessment, Sidas custom made insoles (made in clinic), nail surgery, diabetic foot check and dermatological care. Trained for SWIFT microwave therapy for verrucae.
MSc(Certs) Podopaediatrics, (Jan, 2016 - Jan, 2017)University of Staffordshire
Completed two Msc modules including paediatric lower limb development (March 2017) and paediatric lower limb pathologies & therapies (August 2017). Studied the expected development of the lower limb from foetal period to early adulthood. Familiarised myself with common foot problems in children with developmental delays, genetic and mutational disorders.
MA Childhood Studies, (Oct, 2015 - Oct, 2016)University of Leeds
Completed the Master’s degree with Merit. Studied child psychology, sociology and applied qualitative research using child-friendly methods with Diabetic children aged 8-10. Explored autism and how a health care professional can interact and work with patients of young age, with developmental delays/disorders.
BSc (Hons) Podiatry, ( - Jun, 2016)University of Brighton
Completed the Bachelor’s degree with a 2:1. Completed 1000 hours of clinical work at the Leaf hospital (University hospital), attended work placements in NHS Greenwich, London and NHS East Sussex hospitals. Explored pathologies affecting the lower limb and treated high risk patients with severe foot ulcers.

Special Olympics GB 2018 – Podiatry team (January 1, 2018)
VOLUNTARY WORK = Provided first aid care to athletes of the Special Olympics in Sterling. Educated athletes on importance of foot hygiene and discussed concerns with them, carers and parents.
London Marathon 2015 – Podiatry team (January 1, 2015)
VOLUNTARY WORK - Provided first aid foot care to runners finishing the marathon. Applied sports tape for pulled muscles, dressed pressure sores and took care of lifted toenails.
Minor Nail Surgery
Permanent management of severely or repeated ingrown toenails completed with the use of local anaesthetic, therefore pain free. MSK assessment (adult or child) - Click Here
This is a detailed examination of the lower limb assessing joint, bone and muscle condition. Problems such as ‘flat feet’, knee pain and unexplained foot pain can be assessed within this service. With the use of latest technology, a gait assessment will also be conducted and following analysis of all data an appropriate treatment plan on how to manage symptoms will be discussed. This service is also conducted to determine if insoles/orthotics are needed
Vascular and Neurological Assessment - Click Here
A lower limb vascular and neurological assessment are carried out to check blood flow and sensory processing. Patients with autoimmune disorders such as diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis or patients with a high risk of foot complications are advised to visit a podiatrist at least once a year. This service is ideal for those who struggle to keep up managing their feet. Allow the foot expert to safely take care and advise in managing cracked heels, thick callus and thick, discoloured or ingrown toenails. At the end of the appointment the feet will feel soft and like-new.
