Dr. Edward Hadjihannas
"Consultant ENT Surgeon"
Dr. Hadjihannas is Consultant ENT Surgeon at Aretaeio Hospital in Nicosia. He is a graduate of Leicester University Medical School (UK). After completing his Basic Surgical Rotation training in various hospitals in London and South England, he was granted a training number on the UK National Training Scheme in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.
He worked as a Specialist Registrar in major ENT units in Birmingham and the West Midlands and gained clinical and surgical experience in all aspects of his specialty. Moreover, he subspecialized in Otology and Paediatric ENT.
At the same time, he undertook and completed a postgraduate degree in Medical Sciences at the University of Keele and obtained the title of Masters in Medical sciences (MMedSci) with Merit after submitting a dissertation. He also passed the examination of the European Board to become a Fellow of the European Board of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery (FEBORL-HNS).
Furthermore, he published various articles in British and international peer-reviewed medical journals and presented in national and international conferences. After a period of 18 years in the UK he repatriated to Cyprus and works as a partner at Aretaeio Hospital in Nicosia.
Mr Hadjihannas is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, a member of the British association of Otorhinolaryngologists – Head & Neck Surgeons, a member of the British Association of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngologists and a Fellow of the European Board of Otorhinolaryngologists/Head & Neck Surgeons.
